Feifel Gualazzi has grown into one of Northern Ontario’s largest personal injury law firms, supported by a dedicated team of 30 professionals. Our partners practise exclusively in personal injury law, representing clients in motor vehicle accidents, no-fault accident benefits claims, and all other types of personal injury matters.

We are a results-driven firm that advocates for our clients—not insurance companies. While we prioritize early resolution and fair settlement, we are fully prepared to take cases to trial when insurers act unreasonably. Our trial lawyers bring extensive courtroom experience and have played key roles in achieving landmark, precedent-setting decisions that have strengthened the rights of accident victims.

PETER A. FEIFEL

Peter A. Feifel, LL.B., was admitted to the Law Society of Upper Canada after graduating from the University of Ottawa Law School in 1981 with an LL.B. He was called to the bar in 1983. He has appeared at all levels of Court in Ontario including the Ontario Court of Appeal.

Professional memberships include Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, The Advocates’ Society, Algoma District Law Association, Law Society of Upper Canada, and the Canadian Federation of Independent Business.

BRIAN A. GUALAZZI

Brian Gualazzi, B. Comm, LL.B., graduated from Dalhousie University with a Bachelor of Commerce in 1983 before attending Dalhousie Law School, where he graduated in 1988. After articling at the law firm of Caputo, Sarlo, Irwin, he was called to the bar in 1990. Brian was hired by the Ministry of the Attorney General, where he worked as an Assistant Crown Attorney for 16 years from 1990 until 2006 when he joined the firm. He has appeared at all levels of Court in Ontario, where he tried hundreds of cases including very complex jury trials.

Prior to embarking on his legal career, Brian enjoyed a very successful hockey career as he starred with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds of the Ontario League. While playing for the Soo Greyhounds, Brian had many accomplishments, one of which was leading the OHL in scoring with 75 goals in the 1978/1979 season. He went on to play with the Dalhousie Tigers of the Canadian University Athletic Association, where he was selected to the All-Canadian Team on two occasions. Brian was selected in the National Hockey League draft in 1979 by the Minnesota North Stars and played professionally in Salt Lake City, Utah before returning to law school. Although he had many achievements in hockey, he continues to be remembered for being the person responsible for Wayne Gretzky wearing the famous number “99.” Brian was already wearing number “9” when Wayne arrived in the Soo; therefore, he was forced to wear a new number, and number “99” was created.

He is currently a member of the Algoma District Law Association, The Advocates’ Society of Ontario, and the Sault Ste. Marie Chamber of Commerce.

Dean graduated from Durham College after a 3-year program with a diploma in legal administration in 1990. He has been employed full time as a law clerk since 1990 and with the firm since 2003. He is on Peter A. Feifel’s team. Send Dean an email»

Jennifer graduated from Laurentian University (Algoma Campus) with a bachelor of arts degree with a major of psychology in 1993 and Lake Superior State University with an associate’s degree in legal assistant studies (law clerk) in 1995. Stephani, RN graduated from Sault College of Applied Arts & Technology with a diploma in nursing in 2003. She is a member of the College of Nurses of Ontario and the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario. Stephani, being a registered nurse, is able to not only assist our clients on a one-to-one basis in their options of treatment and other medical issues, but also assists the lawyers in reviewing and summarizing all medical documentation. Tanya graduated as a Laurentian University student with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Law and Justice. She received the Award of Excellence for completing her program with the highest GPA, a 4.0, among her fellow classmates and also received the Carl J. Sanders Medal for graduating with the highest GPA, a 4.0, in her entire graduation class. She received an Honors Scholarship to attend Law School and will be graduating this year. Kurt Rhodes, B.B.A., J.D., graduated Cum Laude from Baker College with his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. He went on to attend Law School at Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan and graduated Cum Laude with his Juris Doctorate in 2014. Kurt took the Michigan Bar Exam in 2015 and was admitted that same year to the Michigan Bar as a licensed attorney. While in Law School, Kurt met his wife, Tanya Feifel. They plan to relocate together to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario to take the Ontario Bar Exam and become the newest members of the team of local lawyers fighting for you.
